In a nutshell, what we do for our clients is provide more bang for their AdWords buck. We also do other PPC, but our primary focus is Google AdWords.
We get that bang through actively managing the account for our clients, or by consulting with them on how they best can manage their account. We also can do a blend of managing and consulting.
We work with the client to do what it takes to achieve their goals. Cookie cutter solutions do not work very well in Pay-Per-Click advertising, time and attention is needed to address the specifics in any given account and situation if you want to improve your results.
After trying a number of fee structures we have settled for simple when it comes to new clients. After a relationship is established suggested fees are based on a combination of actual labor involved, scope of the clients account(s), and results. But for new clients we use this simple formula to get the fee discussion started.
We strongly suggest, but do not require, an initial three month program. For ad buys greater than $900 a month the suggested fee is 40% of the projected ad buy for the first month, after the first month the suggested fee is 20% of the projected ad buy. With minimums of $600 for the first month and $300 for subsequent months. The suggested fee may vary after the first three months depending on labor, scope, and results. The larger the ad buy, the lower the fee is likely to be as a percentage.
For ad buys in the $300 to $900 a month range the suggested mimimum fee is about 33%. Double that for the first month.
Consulting is available at $100 hour.
Most PPC and Internet Marketing firms do not post pricing. Each situation is different, and no matter how you structure your pricing it will be confusing to some. But we like to give all the courtesy of having some idea of how our fees are structured in the interest of saving time.
