i got the exact same reason for being banned two days ago. some other 'related' account. i'm not a business, i don't have multiple accounts, i'm a stay at home mom trying to make enough of an income to continue to stay home with my daughter. they won't give me any details, of course. since that ban two mornings ago, i got going on Microsoft AdCenter, Yahoo and Clicksor and I made three sales yesterday, and three so far today (it's only 1130am) and i'm optimistic. i was stupid not to have diversified sooner! now i've also moved my blogger over to wordpress (coincidentally did this about a week ago before my ban, why didn't i do that sooner?it's soooo much better!) and i'm still on chrome, but i've changed the search to bing at least. time to stop supporting google!

I agree with 'don't build your business on Google', but in SA we don't have anything else for local search. At the moment Google is working very nicely for me and my clients, but I also hate the secrecy and their relationship with clients.

When God (or google) closes a door, a window will open somewhere. (Mother Superior in the Sound of Music)

I am learning that. I was lazy since google was so easy. Now I have to build in a more thoughtful way.

Tom, I have a question for you.

Hi Steve,

Google's actions have made me realize that specializing makes you efficient, but vulnerable. Still mulling over what that means for me and my Agency.

This process of banning massive accounts without warning or explanation is akin to killing everyone in the area to make sure you get the "bad guys". Google should never be trusted as a major part of your income.
